It offers speeds of up to 20 Gbps over a full distance of 100 meters and supports frequencies up to 600 MHz , providing excellent performance in demanding environments such as 4K/8K video transmission or heavy-duty networks . Thanks to advanced shielding of each pair of wires and additional shielding of the entire cable, Cat. 7 effectively eliminates electromagnetic interference and crosstalk , ensuring stable and reliable connections. Additionally, it is more future-proof and durable than Cat. 6 , making it a cost-effective investment in a modern and resilient network infrastructure. Extralink 's Category 7 S/FTP shielded patchcord is terminated with shielded, gold-plated connectors. It is made of a four-conductor twisted-pair cable made of pure copper, which makes it possible to power network devices using the PoE standard. Advantages of Cat. 7 over Cat. 6:
